 my latest obsessions

I've always been an all-in sort of girl. When I like something, I'm making Pinterest boards, scouring fan theories, and diving deep into the lore. My interests can be a little all consuming at times, for better or worse. Here are some of my latest interests and why I'm so into them!

Ellie's Month Of Glowing Up and Growing Up

If I could give any advice to a high school senior applying to colleges, it would be to not go to a school on the trimester system while all your friends go to semester schools. An extra month of summer sounds nice in theory, but when all your friends have left for college, your siblings are back in school, the novelty wears off. I don't move in for another month, which is an intimidating amount of time to be just myself. So, I'm putting together a plan to keep myself busy in this home stretch of summer.

Batman #424

One of the most important things you can know about me is that I love comic books. One of the second most important things you can know about me is I love talking about comics. So, to kick of my blog I figured I would walk you through the Great Batman Binge of 2026 (patent pending). While my family certainly doesn't have much in the way of mansions or private planes for me to inherit, I have been lucky enough to come into a good amount of old comic books that I have gleefully claimed as my own. Think of this series as a companion guide. Follow along with your own comics, if you dare.

The collection I'll be reading through is mostly Copper Age Batman, Batman Detective and Legends of the Dark Knight. I've never read through every single comic in the collection, so some will be a reread and others will be my first impression.

The earliest comic in my collection is Batman #424-The Diplomats Son. It's one I've read before and is very near and dear to my heart.

how to find what you want thrifting (and have fun in the process)

I'm proud to say that thrifting is one of my favorite hobbies. I like to think that foraging for my clothes awakens some sort of hibernating hunter-gatherer instinct in me, because I'm never prouder of a clothing haul then one I thrifted. I'm lucky enough to have a walk in closet that is stuffed to the gills with the spoils of my thrifting habit.

Spider-Man - Brand New Day

Spider-Man - Brand New Day

★★★★☆

Almost good enough to make me forget it was a giant ad for Flock cameras. Almost.
I really enjoyed this movie! I feel like the MCU has been on a really good run lately. This was the first Spider-Man movie that felt like a Spider-Man movie, not an Avengers movie about Spider-Man. Tom Holland Spideys characteristic naivete felt more world weary and I enjoyed seeing how he's been adapting to adult life.
